These words have come at such a crucial time in our lives. The world is constantly at war, man continues to seek an endless power battle and nature's fury continues. Do we ever learn? Are we going to be yet another generation that has not learnt from our past mistakes and history?
All I know for sure is this. We cannot change others but ourselves. Even right down to the individual level and our relationships. Igniting the light within will help us lift the vibration of our global soul. Through prayer, meditation, silence we can move mountains and shift the energy of our world to a much more balanced perspective as I have shared in previous blogs. As Helen Keller quotes 'Life is either a dancing adventure or it's nothing.' We must dare to live at the level of the soul.
The power struggles amongst our world leaders presents that we are still in a child's playground even as adults - that it is never ending until we rid the ego and fear that keeps us in bondage and divides us. Where is the power game taking us anyway? What is the use of innovation for a better world when in the end all we are seeking is power?
Because it is our world and we have the chance to create and build a better world for our children and the generations to come. Living simply and simply live to appreciate our world is all there is to it. It's not complex, it's just taking the path of simplicity as reflected in the oneness of it all. As Deepak Chopra quotes in his book 'SynchroDestiny', 'If we could learn to live from the level of the soul, we could see that the best, most luminous part of ourselves is connected to all the rhythms of the universe...Living from the level of the soul means diving past the ego, past the limitations of the mind that harness us to events and outcomes in the physical world.' Deepak utilises the analogies of a school of fish or flock of birds. They can all change their direction in an instant, there is no leader and yet the fish and birds move together synchronously in harmony with each other in great perfection and not collide, bump, or fly into each other. There is simply, a beautiful harmonious understanding. Two completely different environments as depicted by Deepak - one being the ocean and the other the sky and yet oneness.
We are one human race irrespective of colour, gender, spiritual or religious beliefs, age and so forth. We have one home Earth that is simply yearning for our love yet as humans we have not yet tapped into this magnificence this 'non-local', spiritual, universal rhythm that is playing for us. I believe once we move as a Human race to the rhythm of oneness as with the flock of birds and schools of fish, we will live in higher consciousness together - in unity, without the need for leaders, power and ego. We will be living in vibration with the level of our souls and this...this will heal the world.
I shared lunch with a friend recently and her question was 'Aina, what are your thoughts with the battle of good and bad in this world?' This was my reply 'God is really good at distracting us. We've forgotten why we were gifted to this earth, to serve the message of our soul.' There is so much noise, clutter, and rubbish in our lives that we have forgotten to listen to the inner voice that is calling us to live our dreams, and to serve our soul. By serving our soul, we serve our world and humanity. Taking it back to my conversation with my friend, it is 'us', 'we', 'ourselves' that distract each other from listening to the voice of our soul. In the book 'Life Lessons' Elisabeth Kubler-Ross shares 'We have all become so controlling, we have forgotten what it's like to be students and to sit at the feet of others. We don't know how to receive others ideas and experiences, even if only for a brief while, even the little things in life.'Take a minute to explore the Delphic Oracles wisdom - for us to 'Know thyself, Love thyself, Be thyself' and what this can do for humanity. Listening to the simple promptings of the soul and following the wisdom of our soul enables us to live our dreams fully and not be imprisoned and bound by worldly pursuits. To live simply and simply live today has profound wisdom and beauty.
