How can we harness who we really are when we are always busy Doing. Spiritual and thought leaders have shared we have to embrace our Beingness first and foremost rather than getting lost in the Doing. What are your thoughts and wisdom about being?
Eckhart Tolle quotes ‘Wisdom comes with the ability to be still. Just look and listen. No more is needed.’ Like the roses that bloom, the stars that shine, the oceans that lay humble to the rivers, the spider that spins it’s web - everything is in divine perfection of being. Yet somehow along the way we as human beings have forgotten and have lost this natural way of being to the busyness of the physical world. We are too busy to find peacefulness, to busy to find the silence and time to sit and be just like the roses, stars, ocean and spider and basically the rest of the universe. We even toss and turn during times of rest trying to turn the chatter of the mind off in order to sleep.
From the busyness of Doing, we may feel physically bombarded, mentally overloaded, spiritually blocked, vocationally overloaded, time poor with family and friends, needs are not met financially, and socially we are becoming more further apart.
By finding the stillness in us, we find our being. Let’s remember that Doing is important and has its place, but Being is utmost essential for our existence. Being is key to finding the voice of our Soul. One of the greatest teachings that has come through the ages is ‘Know Thyself, Love Thyself, and Be Thyself’ by the Delphic Oracle. If we follow this life lesson of knowing, loving and being ourselves – what do you think we will discover from this wisdom?
