So many ways to clear our headspace however I have found writing to be a powerful tool to do this. It doesn't cost anything and just requires our time.
I'm just thinking out aloud how our mental space can be 'heavy' at times and I guess if we could weigh our 'thoughts' especially when we are going through some challenging times..ufff (a big Turkish ufff ?).
As mentioned in earlier posts in our Gr8 Wisdom Community Group...not only does writing take the weight from us, it frees up space for inspiration. As we write, it becomes a meditation and like prayer ... it opens up communication lines, gateways to the divine, to our creativity...to our inner wisdom.
As Julia Cameron author of 'An Artists Way' shares:
“We should write because it is human nature to write. Writing claims our world. It makes it directly and specifically our own. We should write because humans are spiritual beings and writing is a powerful form of prayer and meditation, connecting us both to our own insights and to a higher and deeper level of inner guidance.
We should write because writing brings clarity and passion to the act of living. Writing is sensual, experiential, grounding. We should write because writing is good for the soul. We should write because writing yields us a body of work, a felt path through the world we live in.
We should write, above all, because we are writers, whether we call ourselves that or not.”
