Honour thyself…
Honour thyself…

Greek Philosophers shared 'I'd rather the whole world against me, than my own Soul'. The timeliness of this great wisdom is a perfect reminder to choose the wisdom of our Soul in every life circumstance we come across.  As a society, we have been taught that sacrifice of ourselves for our fellow man is the ultimate meaning of service.  However,  at the heart of the meaning of 'service' shared by our Greek Philosophers is to 'serve the wisdom of your Soul' first and foremost.

To explore this further let's peer through the windows of our lives at what this means for us.  Every time we have said 'yes' to others when we wanted to say 'no' is a great example we have not followed the wisdom of our Soul.  When we say 'yes' and every fibre in our body is shouting 'no' - there is an immediate inner turmoil within us and what we are really feeling is we that have just sacrificed 'ourselves' and our highest values to others.  Our essence then is sacrificed, our whole being and our whole physical and spiritual self can feel we have not listened to the wisdom of our Soul.  If we choose the wisdom of our Soul by saying 'no' - we honour ourselves first and foremost.  We align to our highest values and most importantly we do not sacrifice who we are.

Time and time again there is the calamity of values with our fellow human beings.  The feeling we need to appease others in order to be socially accepted, meet the norms or fit in.  Listen to the wisdom of your Soul, it knows best.

Honour thyself today by choosing the light and the wisdom of your Soul.
